New Findings on Acne.

A recent scientifically controlled 'blind' trial was carried out to compare the effect of Tea Tree Oil against Benzoyl Peroxide, a widely used acne treatment. Tea Tree Oil, at 5%, compared favourably with the Benzoyl Peroxide.

Although a bit slower to act at first, the effects were quite comparable after a few weeks and with the great advantage that Tea Tree Oil caused much fewer harsh side effects than the caustic Benzoyl Peroxide preparation. This study, involving 124 patients, was carried out by Professor Barnetson at Sydney Universtity and published in the prestigious Medical Journal of Australia in October 1990.

It offers conclusive proof of the efficacy and low toxicity of the Tea Tree Oil product to be increased in strength, or applied more frequently, then the results may well indicate that Tea Tree Oil acts as fast, or faster than Benzoyl Peroxide; thus proving to be superior in every way.
